What is Thetford Farm Barn?
Thetford Farm Barn is a large 200 year old Grade II listed barn that has been carefully restored to create a rustic and characterful wedding venue. Set on a 500 acre arable farm, Thetford Farm Estate has been farmed by the Richardson family for over 100 years. With years in the planning and three daughters, this large family barn was always intended to be restored into a beautiful wedding venue. Full of historic notes of farm life, this large venue with enclosed courtyard is a rustically romantic venue.

There is no rush at Thetford Farm Barn. We understand that it can take a little extra time on your wedding day to make things just right, so we have planned two designated areas for getting ready, The Dressing Room and The Hayloft. Not just that but we will also allow flexibility around your booking to give you time to arrange the set up and clear down of your celebration.

The ceremony
At Thetford Farm Barn you can choose where to say your vows. In the peaceful meadow with flowers around your feet or in The Ceremony Hall adorned with rose petals and garlands. This rustic and elegant venue allows for an organic and calming space to enjoy the memories of a lifetime. This large barn sits in a stunning location and has the capacity of up to 250+ guests in The Ceremony Hall.
The evening reception
With a large, versatile Ceremony Hall and Dining area there is room for everyone, even your four legged friends. Whether you would like hay bales for seating or a barn dance in the evening, our dedicated team can help advise you. Private, and family friendly there are two courtyards adjacent from The Ceremony Hall, allowing you to extend with additional marquees for up to 400+ guests for your wedding reception.

We have made choosing your caterers easy and have a list of award winning selected suppliers who come highly recommended. If you would like 5 courses, a BBQ, Hog roast or even a food truck, our award winning caterers can help you work towards something you are happy with.

Nestled in nature with guest accommodations
Lincolnshire provides a variety of unique accommodation including our very own guest house in the village of Baston, just a short stop away and accommodation for ten. Onsite accommodation will be available from 2025.
